From LC State to the Olympics
Growing up in Lincolnshire, England, with his parents and twin sister, Sam Atkin played multiple sports, soccer being his main sport, until the age of 16. This was the age he decided to fully pursue track and field for collegiate scholarships. This decision dramatically changed the trajectory of his life.

Atkin started his journey with LC State in 2011 and competed for five years in both track and field, and cross country.

"I think I’ve always known I wanted to be an attorney,” Lewis-Clark State College justice studies student Adriana Enriquez-Gonzalez said. “I just enjoy helping people and I think it’s really cool that I have the knowledge to be able to help another individual.”

Enriquez-Gonzalez, who is from Sun Valley, Idaho, said she doesn’t recall one instance that sparked her passion for law but rather that the feeling has always been there and has never gone away. LC State has taken that passion and fueled it with coursework, clubs, and now an internship.
Idaho WWAMI healthcare education leader is a proud LC State grad
As one of Idaho Business Review’s Women of the Year, Lewis-Clark State College alumna Bethaney Fehrenkamp’s mark on the “future health of future Idahoan’s” is being recognized.

Fehrenkamp credits her undergraduate experience at LC State with laying an excellent foundation for her pursuits and achievements in healthcare education and says the connections she made at LC State continue to benefit her work.
"I knew I had to be in the medical field somehow, I just didn't know how."
A thought that would lead Jesslyn Besardi to find the career she would come to know and love. Being in the medical field, came naturally to Besardi- it's a family business. Her grandmother was a nurse, who with the help of Besardis" mother, Nancy, operated their own long-term care facility. It was only natural
for Besardi to follow suit.

Saving lives is what drives her. For Besardi, it is an honor to be on the front lines of some of the scariest times for those who walk into her ICU. Working as a Neuro Trauma Nurse, Besardi knows that when patients come in she is their last resort.
A Journey that started in the Equine Industry
For Ty Wilkerson service is at the center of it all.

Wilkerson is the third generation in his family to take an active role in the Equine Industry. His grandmother barrel raced and his father owns Wilkerson Performance Horses. He grew up on and around horses- starting his career showing horses at a young age. Wilkerson is thankful for the impact he has received both from the
Equine Industry and his family's legacy.

Growing up as a trainer's son meant he got to help his dad with the family business- driving to shows, riding horses, cleaning stalls, helping with the paperwork and helping other riders get ready for the show.
