Social media is where my fun side comes out; and yes, the Barbie costume was part of that. I love nothing more than putting together a quick trend, figuring out how to share news in a creative way, and introducing people to one another through feature content. One of my favorite parts? Getting to analyze social media performance later. Let's see how we can grow your page together!

Appaloosa Youth World Show Throwback
Sometimes as a youth coordinator, your job is simply to make "youth's dreams come to life" and this projects is one of those times. As we were headed into the 2025 Appaloosa Youth World Championship Show the Appaloosa Youth Association Directors wanted to honor the history of the show through a Throwback Thursday. After a call for images on social media and the directions of "posting a Throwback Thursday with the photos given" I created this short reel.

Happy Birthday INBRE!
This year in celebration of INBRE's birthday, a proclamation was given by Governor Brad Little. This post was to celebrate the proclamation, highlight the program, and share the success of those involved at LC State.

New Student Features
There's nothing quite as special as starting your journey as a college students. We wanted to celebrate this for our students! With the help of admissions, I was able to collect answers to interview questions and photos from new students entering LC State. I then was able to write short features on some of those students leading in to the new school year. Here's one post in that series.

A Shared Feature
In the marketing world, we know that earned media is huge. This is one example of that. Idaho Ed News had written an article about the U of I and LC State student body president's because they grew up with one another. I was able to share out that feature on our social media to further highlight our Associated Student's of Lewis-Clark State College President.

Activities Announcement
As we prepared for the 2025 Appaloosa Youth World Show, we wanted to ensure that our members knew what activities they could expect at the show. I was able to quickly put together this graphic-based post and share it out with our membership. This is an example of a post that is easy for our members to save on a platform and come back to later.

Outstanding Student Feature
Highlighting student success as they prepare to enter the workforce is one of the great privileges of working for a college. This was a short feature post about our former student body president celebrating him as one of the outstanding graduates at LC State. This was one post in a series.

I was able to reach out to this student, and faculty/staff, to prepare and write this post. I also gained photos from the student to supplement the post.

This was another post celebrating an outstanding graduate at LC State. In the same light as the one above, we highlighted this student because she was one of our Outstanding Graduates. This post was part of the same series as the one above.

I was able to reach out to the student, staff, and faculty to prepare and publish this post to properly and fully highlight this student.

Competition Results
A large part of running media at a competition-based event is covering results. While this can be time-consuming, I've learned the value of both preparation and leaning on the team. For a post like this one, I had pre-populated the caption minus the results before the event took place. Then, when results were announced the photographer took the picture, got it to me, and I worked with an assistant under me to get all results populated and posted night of.

Year-In-Review
This post was designed to celebrate just how much LC State accomplished in the 2024 year. I decided to post this on LinkedIn as we have a traction of alumni and faculty/staff on this platform. It allowed alumni to reminisce and celebrate their alma mater, while faculty/staff could celebrate their success.

I was bale to gather the information from past press releases and work with another team member who made the graphics.

March Update
My coworker and I have been wrestling with the challenge of how to bring updates via social media as we engage with the Appaloosa Youth Association members. We decided to do this through monthly video updates.

Student Day-In-The-Life
Day-In-The-Life posts are such an engaging way to show the behind-the-scenes of an entity and it's been fun to implement that.

I was able to find the student, meet with them to set expectations, gather materials from the student, and help with developing the copy for this.

First Week of School Celebration
This reel went up at the end of the first week of classes at LC State. On this first day of classes myself and one of my coworkers were able to go get photos of students and the college's president wearing sunglasses and posing. I was able to put those photos together to the beat of the music to make this trend come to life.

Washington FFA Trivia
While working at the 2024 Washington FFA State Convention and Expo I was able to create some fun man-on-the-street content. In this video another Past State Officer asked current FFA members trivia questions.

At the start of the 2024 Washington FFA State Convention and Expo, myself and another alumnus were able to go welcome everyone who was registering.

Chief Joseph Trail Ride Recap
I had the privilege of attending the Appaloosa Horse Club's Chief Joseph Trail Ride to gain b-roll alongside a team, and interview the different participants about the ride. I was later able to edit this video to it's final point!

An Open Letter
Just as Latah County's fair was about to take place, the idea of an open letter about your fair exhibitor came up. The intent was to show the human side of these exhibitors and just how hard they work. This was a fun creative writing for me because I got to recall some of my personal stories raising livestock. I got to write and post this!

Board of Director Announcement
This post served as a way to announce the news Board of Directors team for the Appaloosa Youth Association. I wanted to ensure each youth director felt special and celebrated on their election. I made the graphic, wrote the caption, and posted it!
